Hindi and Sanskrit: 12 Week Class: STILL OPEN
Hindi and Sanskrit share the same script. In this class you will learn Hindi and Sanskrit alphabet.You will learn to read both languages.This twelve week extended course is to help you become comfortable in speaking and understanding simple conversations in Hindi. This is a very valuable course for anyone who is interested in these two languages. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Indian culture, traveling to India, doing business in India. It will help yoga and ayurveda students to learn the correct pronunciation for Hindi and Sanskrit.
Schedule: Monday Jan 23, 2012- Apr 2, 2012 from 6-8pm

Discovery Series: 6 Weeks: STILL OPEN
The basics to yoga are as simple as A,B,C with this program that focuses on beginners as well as those students who want to improve the fundamentals of their practice. Yoga Discovery provides each student with an immersion into Alignment, Breath, and Consciousness- the A.B,Cs of Yoga. Each class begins and closes with quiet reflection. In between the calming meditations will be asanas, or yoga postures, that will focus on these groups: seated, standing, supine, prone, balancing, and inverted. Following the asanas will be breath work or pranayama. There is more to explore in your yoga practice with Yoga Discovery. This is a class for all levels of flexibility and strength.

Yoga For Cancer
This five week class is a free offering for the community. YGJ has organised this jointly with Living Well Cancer Resource Center in Geneva, Illinois. People going through the cancer imbalance, in recovery or those who have recovered; all are invited to spend sometime for gentle stretching, strengthening and support. Yoga helps to increase flexibility, reduce anxiety and stress, support the immune system and enhance overall well-being. Poses are modified to adapt to all levels of experience, flexibility and limitations and are open to all! (Signed doctor’s release and health history form required prior to class)

Reiki Workshop
Certified Reiki Master and Feng Shui Consultant Pamela S. Stutzman will offer a special presentation on the principles & practice of Reiki Healing and how to benefit from this powerful healing modality! As a volunteer for Fox Valley Hospice for 11 years, Pamela saw miracles happen when patients are truly 'open' to allowing authentic healing to occur in their body, their mind, & their emotions. Indian Food is a rich blend of spices, flavors and textures. If you enjoy Indian food join Vimi Shukla for this three week class and learn some great recipes. Vimi is a very knowledgeable and seasoned cook and will share many of her original recipes. Through this three week session participants will learn how to create a full Indian meal consisting of snacks, main course, desserts and drinks. This is a hands on class and you will enjoy cooking and tasting the foods.
This class includes a very informative trip to an Indian market to help students shop for the right ingredients and receive a wealth of information on a variety of healthful products and recipes from different parts of India. Minimum number of 5 students required to run the class.

Partner Yoga Workshop
Partner yoga is fun, interactive and sometimes challenging. Partners are sometimes the best props that can help us go further into a pose. Join us with a friend, spouse or sibling and enjoy this valuable experience of practicing with a partner. This might be a fun activity for the upcoming Valentine's Day. Tea and socialization to follow!

Thai Massage: Valentine's Day Special
Do something fun this Valentine's Day! Bring that someone special; a friend, sibling, parent or spouse and give as well as receive a massage. A wonderful way to provide tender care while having fun. In this workshop you will acquire some great techniques to help your partner with aches and pains and feel a deep sense of relaxation. Thai massage is very powerful and calming. A significant part of the practice of Thai massage also includes yoga-like stretches which are intended to stimulate the energy channels throughout the body. Tea and socialization to follow!

Ayurveda For Health
This a series of 12 classes and helps one to learn and live the methodology of Ayurveda through daily practice, seasonal and dosha appropriate foods, yoga and more. The class includes hands on cooking, trip to Indian market and ongoing support. An Ayurvedic Consultation with a practitioner is a pre-requisite for this class.

Transforming Your Life with Yog
Author, Life Coach, Public Speaker and leadership Trainer, ManMohan Shukla would share his life changing Six Principles of Yogic Consciousness in this workshop. He demonstrates how your thoughts, feelings, brain and physiology drive everything you experience in life. He provides tools to develop self-awareness and empower oneself to be happy and joyful at will. The focus of the workshop is learning "pratyahaar" or letting go. What it means from a yogic perspective, and how to scientifically achieve it in your life. A truly moving experience! Mr. Shukla will be available for book signing after the workshop.

Pranayama Workshop
Pranayama is the science of yogic breathing. Learn the anatomy of breath as well as the power of prana in the body. Prana is said to be maha aushadhi or the supreme medicine. Our Center offers an authentic yoga teacher training program that will make you eligible to spread the practice of yoga and to teach your very own yoga classes. Deepen your understanding by attending our classes and receive your certification. Our programs are accredited through Yoga Alliance at the 200 and 500 levels. Students will receive 170 contact hours with the main faculty. Over 15 hours of projects and reports and over 30 hours of self study.
This program requires serious commitment to the study and practice of yoga.

AYURVEDA TRAINING
This is a 200 Level Ayurvedic Training Course
This program is based on the guidelines of AYUSH, benckmark of WHO and is accredited by AAPNA
(Association of Ayurvedic Physicians of North America). The course comprises 200 hours of training and self
study. A serious interest and commitment to the study and philosophy of Ayurveda is a pre-requiste for registration.
